I can't tell you how badly I want to make this.  Isn't it adorable??  I'm trying to come up with a reason to play with this beautiful papery goodness...

Does anyone have a party that they want some handcrafted confetti for???  Pretty please??!

more word bubbles

I'm working on more word bubbles for my project life supply.
It was super time consuming but now that it's done, it's done for good and I'm glad I did it.  It will be super easy to go in and change the font and words.  I'm always proud of myself when I'm able to create using technology.  :)

noah's ark themed cupcake toppers

Two years ago my dear friend Jessie had a boy named Max.  Max is kind, adorable, funny, talkative, smart, and is such a joy.  For his second birthday, Jessie's mom planned a Noah's ark themed party and I was asked to make the cupcake toppers and thank you tags.  Obviously I was overjoyed to create for such a special party.  I am delighted with how they turned out and equally happy with these gorgeous pictures Jessie took.
Didn't she do an awesome job setting up her table?  Beautiful.

word bubbles

So I'm working away on Project Life and decided I wanted to make some custom word bubbles.  Maybe this is why I take so dang long to finish each week (I get a little distracted and want to make a lot of the products I use) but I'm still loving it...so that's what counts.  Oh yeah, and the whole memory keeping thing... :)  I used this tutorial to make these fun word bubbles.  Yup, I found another use for my silhouette machine.

I'm thinking I should make a bunch of these and add them to my stockpile of stuff for my etsy shop.  Can't wait to open that!!  I just need to get a new silhouette blade first so the cuts are a little more clean.  But for personal use?  I think it's great.

Have a great weekend!!

Today I'm making the most of J's nap time and getting my Project Life on!  Woot!
Oh, and yes, that is VENTI half caff iced americano.  It's going to be a good day :)

more burpies

Hi everyone -

I wanted to share some more burpies I recently made.  My lovely sister-in-law, Val, had me make some burpies to give her best friend, Jacque, for her baby shower.  Jacque is going to have a sweet little girl in May and is decorating her nursery in an owl theme ... so precious!  Of course, Val thought owls would be the perfect accent for this classy new momma.

I'm so happy with how they turned out.  It was really fun to make these again ... especially in girl colors.  There are so many boys in our little community!!

Have a happy Monday!

6 months

These pictures are old but they are just too good not to share.

I'm having to think back on what J was doing at 6 months because things change sooo fast!  I look at how much my sweet boy has already grown and it makes me sad and makes my heart sing at the exact same time.  Is this just parenthood?  Will I always feel like he is growing up so fast but always love his current stage so much?  Such a strange thing.

These two pictures pretty much capture our boy at 6 months.  That face?  It kills me.  He is so excited (and I can hear the squeal in my head) that he can barely contain himself.

At 6 months, Jonathan...

...has grown sooo much!  He is sitting up on his own and is getting busy, busy, busy.  At his 6 month check up, our doctor kept commenting on how busy our little guy is.  I have a feeling my hands will be full very soon.

...has such a happy spirit.  Yes, he has very cranky days and definitely lets us know when he isn't happy.  But, he is typically very happy and ready to play.  When his dadda walks through the door, he squeals, smiles, flaps his arms, and basically jumps out of my arms so they can play.  Love it.

...is loving his solid foods!  He eats oatmeal, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, peas, bananas, apples, and pears. This is such a relief to us because getting enough food into him was such a struggle early on.  I make most of his food and really enjoy doing that.

... checks people out for a long time when he meets someone new.  He is stares for a long time and then eventually smiles and is ready to interact.

...is almost mobile!!  He is always up on his knees rocking back and forth.  It will be soon.  I can feel it.

... puts everything in the mouth.  Everything.

And now for his stats.  He weighed in at 17 lbs. 5 oz (44%), was 26 1/2 inches long (50%), with a big head (90%).  Love every oz and inch of him.

It's been hard for me to keep up on this but am glad I have because I think I'm going to love it at the end of the year.

Have a great day everyone!

Ellie

Here's a little sneak of a project I was working on over the past few weeks.

project life week 4

For this week of project life, I decided to use more of a color scheme.  I love this mix of yellow, light blue, white, and splashes of turquoise.  I'm not sure if I'll always use more planned out color schemes but I like it for this layout.

This is the week Jonathan got his two bottom teeth, he started sitting up more, and we went on a little get-away with our small group.

I finally used some Jenni Bowlin butterflies - I had been hoarding them for a long time and with a little guy, I don't have much use for them!  I love them here.

I love this little layout on my PL page.  Every monday, some girls come over to watch the Bachelor, eat popcorn, and drink wine.  Here is sweet little Beckett who joined us that night. :)

If you look closely at this funny picture of Matt, you can see a long trail of spit up.  Our sweet little boy has quite the case of reflux (it's getting better) and these last 7 months we've cleaned up more spit up and done more laundry.  Our couch will never be the same...

I'm still loving washi tape and a new love is typing on velum and putting it on washi tape.  I got the idea from Ann-Marie.

I have more pages ready to photograph and find their way on here, more traditional pages, a couple current crafty endeavors/orders, and much more.  All will be posted soon so keep checking back!
