for the love of triangles

Triangles are all the rage right now and I for one am loving this trend.  It's the perfect combination of graphic and bold but still playful.
These cards are the smallest size I have - 4 1/4" x 3 7/8".  The triangles are hand cut out of washi and glitter tape.  They are coral, navy, mint, and gold. And this color combo??  In love.
Pure white card stock is mounted on navy card stock for a bright contrast. The card is paired with a kraft color card stock.
These cards are perfect for any occasion - why not have a bunch on hand for birthdays, thank yous, and just plain old fun letter writing.

Have a BEAUTIFUL day!  And why don't you play with some paper?!

fall inspired stationery

So it's starting to kinda feel like fall here in Southern California.  We had a day of rain (eeeek!!!) and it's been chilly at night and in the morning.  AND, of course I'm sure you have all noticed, the best part of the fall.....the salted caramel mocha is back!!  LOVE.

So in honor of this glorious season and in an effort to trick myself into believing it is actually fall, here is my new gold leaf stationery.
I'm loving the gold leaf sewn onto the double washi tape stripe.
The card is backed on kraft card stock and is paired with a kraft envelope.  It is A6 - 4 1/2" x 6 1/4".

How cute would a little nameplate sewn onto the leaf be??  Look for it in my shop!

a little thank you

I owe a big thank you to my mom and dad for sitting me down after every Christmas and birthday and making me write thank you notes.  I'm not being sarcastic - I really am thankful.  I am so appreciative of this because I still to this day write thank you cards.  And unfortunately I think it's a lost art.  We move so fast from one thing to the next and we rarely sit down to pull out a nice card, grab our favorite pen (preferably an ink roller), summon our pretty hand writing, and jot a thank you note.  My grandma wrote not just thank cards but notes in general and I kept many of them.  What a special thing it is to have her sweet handwriting and kind words always.
So, am I making you feel like you need some thank you notes of your own yet?!?!?  Here you go!

These little cuties are listed in my shop.

Have a wonderful day!!

{shop update} hello there

Ok so I am seriously freaking out.  The lovely Sarah Scheidler took pictures of the cards, tags, and notepads that I have ready to add to my shop and I am in love with them!  Eeeek!  I am really happy with the designs I have to share with you and couldn't be more happy with her point of view in photographing them.  So, without further ado, here is my first release.  I have shared this design before but of course had to share these pictures.
First of all, let me say I am obsessed with the color scheme.  Gold, grey, and pool blue??? Yes, please!

This little card is 3 1/2" x 4 7/8"- just perfect for when you need to drop a quick line.

I can personalize the sentiment - thank you, just a note, your name...whatever!

Please check out Sarah's work at www.sarahscheidler.com and her Facebook page.  Thanks for swinging by!  I'm super excited to share more throughout this week and next!

congratulations cards

One of my favorite clients had me make congratulations cards to give to new parents.  She wanted boy themed, girl themed, and gender neutral themed cards.  I had a blast making these and am thinking of making more to post in my etsy shop.... what do you think??

embellished envelopes

My new favorite thing?  Ruffled envelopes.

Step 1: Get a diet coke cold from the refrigerator.  Cut lots of strips of gold paper. Note: diet coke is very important for all crafting sessions.
Step 2: Ruffle the paper and sew it onto kraft envelopes.  Trim excess paper strips and stray pieces of thread.
Step 3: Enjoy your embellished envelope.
Have a great weekend!  I hope you're all surrounded by scraps of paper :)

grey patchwork stationery

I love making things for people who appreciate them.  I find so much joy in creating so when someone else likes what I make, I am instantly happy.  I immediately move that person to the top of my "remember to make things for these people" list.  Well, such a list doesn't actually exist, but it does in my mind!

Anyway, my friend Sarah of go deep. find truth. commented on one of my stationery packs on Instagram.  I was so touched and instantly wanted to make her a mini pack as a little happy.  I sent her this little package and she was so sweet to do a write up on her blog about it.  I promise...that wasn't my intention...I just wanted to brighten her day.  Well she made my day with her blog entry so it was a nice little win-win for both of us :)

Here's said mini pack...

new designs

I have been having a complete blast working with some clients to create personalized stationery for them.  In the process, I've created some new designs.  It's always so much fun to be able to add new designs to my portfolio so future clients have more to choose from.  Here are a few teasers for you all!
